About the Counsellors
Our Counsellors are professionally qualified, experienced and registered with the BACP which means they follow a professional code of ethics.
Hi, I'm Karen. I have been working with children and young people for almost 20 years. I am passionate about helping children and young people and I truly believe that support at a young age can prevent long term suffering into adulthood. I know how tough life can be and how dark it can feel but I also know that things can get better and I want to help. When your child is struggling it can create a sense of helplessness and I know trying to find the right help can be confusing and frustrating. I offer a welcoming and supportive counselling relationship, a space to feel accepted, not judged. My work with children and young people is centred around their needs and their preferred way of working, whether that be through play, art, or music, creating a trusting, caring and confidential space.
I offer parents empathy, understanding, without judgements.
Karen Tootill BSc, HEDip, MBACP,
Hi, my name is Cindy. I understand how difficult life experiences can be and that you may feel anxious, stressed, uncertain or trapped with certain aspects of your life or situation. I believe having a supportive counsellor to help you in these moments is invaluable and that building a genuine, caring relationship will be comforting and therapeutic when you are feeling alone and overwhelmed with your difficulties. This is what it was like for me and why I would like to continue supporting children, young people and parents with the challenges and pressures that are being faced in our communities, educational settings and peer groups
